Ranbir Kapoor the Bollywood Hero who attended the Red Sea International Film Festival last week revealed that he would have no qualms about taking up a role in a Pakistani film.
The actor was in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, to speak about his 15-year career. He was also honored by the festival with the Variety International Vanguard Actor Award.
Ranbir was present at a panel, with an audience, where he was questioned about acting in another industry.
The actor was asked by a member of the audience, who also was a Pakistani filmmaker if he was open to acting in the production if it was set elsewhere.
Ranbir shared that in the last six years, Indian and Pakistani artists have been banned from acting in each other’s industries. The filmmaker said, “Now we have a platform like Saudi Arabia where we can jointly do films, I would love to sign you for a film.
Would you be willing to work with the Pakistani team along with your team in Saudi Arabia?”
Ranbir responded, “Of course, sir. I think there are no boundaries for artists, especially for arts. Many congratulations to the Pakistan film industry for The Legend Of Maula Jatt.
The Legend of Maula Jatt, starring Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan, was released in October. Both Fawad and Mahira have acted in Indian films. While Mahira featured in Raees alongside Shah Rukh Khan, Fawad was a part of Khoobsurat and Kapoor & Sons.
