The founder of YES Bank Rana Kapoor was arrested this morning. Rana Kapoor was arrested in the case of money laundering early this morning after questioning him for hours.
He was questioned for about 20 hours by the ED sleuths. There were some irregularities on the loans that the YES bank has allocated under the leadership of Rana Kapoor the founder of the Bank.
The ED had no other option but to arrest Rana as he was not cooperating with the investigating agencies. On the other hand, the customers and the investors in the YES bank are worried about the future and their money.
Minister for Finance Nirmala Seetharaman assured the bank customers that they will get the money and that justice would be done. There is no proper atmosphere in the banking industry after the merger of Banks.
The customers do not want to deposit the money banks and they have apprehensions over the security of their money. Even the return of interest on the Fixed deposits is also not good.
