President of India Ramnath Kovind today took a boat ride in the Hussainsagar lake and paid his respect to large monolith Buddha here.
Last night he was the chief guest for World Telugu conference and praised that Hyderabad was growing as a global metropolis.
The President also complimented the CM Telangana K Chandrasekhar Rao for taking up the cause of Telugu and said that it was a language popular across the world.
Ramnath along with some staff and VIPs went round the Hussainsagar lake and paid his respect to the Lord Buddha in the lake.
The statue was installed by the TDP CM NTR who was also a lover of Telugu language and fought for the cause of the Telugu pride in the world.
