NDA Presidential candidate Ramnath Kovind today thanked the Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao for supporting him for the President post. He was in Hyderabad where he was invited to meet the law makers from TRS and BJP here at Jalavihar.
Here he remembered all the Presidents and said we should uplift the supremacy of the constitution. He also opined that as the supreme commander of the armed forces he has secure the borders of the country. After resigning from the Governor post and filing papers for the Presidents posts ,I am not associated with any political party Kovind said.
We have to fulfill the aspirations of the people of the country especially the poor he said. He thanked the KCR for supporting him even before the nomination was filed. He appealed to all of them to support him.
TS CM KCR, Union Ministers Venkaiah, Dattatreya , Leader Muralidhar Rao , BJP chief Laxman and others were present here and supported the candidature of Kovind. Kovind was later felicitated by the CM KCR. All the MPs and MLAs were also present on the occasion .
Ram Nath Kovind was stunned and overwhelmed after seeing the bill boards displayed at all important junctions inviting him to Hyderabad on the eve of his meeting with TRS leaders ahead of President elections.
Kovind said he was bowled over by the arrangements made by CM K Chandrasekhar . He also praised KCR for speaking in Hindi to make him understand the CM speech as he comes from a Hindi speaking area. KCR spoke in Hindi by following written text in the meeting.
