Sri Ram Charan, Popularly Known as Mega Power Star, inaugurated the Blood Donation Camp, conducted by the Social Service Club of the trainee Civil Servants, who are undergoing Special Foundation Course at Dr MCR HRD Institute.
The Camp was conducted, in collaboration with Chiranjeevi Blood Bank, which was represented by Dr NV Swamy Naidu and a team of Medical & Para-Medical Staff at the camp.The trainee Civil Servants, who attended the camp in large numbers, donated 53 units of blood.
Sri Ram Charan, in his inaugural address, said, with a sense of pride, that the Chiranjeevi Blood Bank, since its inception 24 years ago, has collected a whopping over 9,30,000 units of blood, and thereby found an enduring solution to the lack of availability of blood for patients.
Sri Ram Charan said that blood remains the most precious thing and its donation, even in small quantities, is an important step for a noble cause. “Spare 15 minutes of your life to give life to 3 persons in need”, he said.
Continuing his address, Sri Ram Charan said that he has been immensely fascinated by the great potential of the All India Services and Central Civil Services in bringing about a qualitative change in the lives of different stakeholders of society, especially their weaker counterparts. “I have played the role of an IPS Officer in many movies and continue to do so in the future too”, Sri Ram Charan added.
Sri Harpreet Singh, IAS, DG of the Institute & Spl Chief Secretary to Govt of Telangana, said that despite being a huge celebrity, Sri Ram Charan finds time for the initiatives aimed at the welfare of the weaker sections of society. “Sri Ram Charan inherited the traits of humility and simplicity from his illustrious father, Sri Chiranjeevi”, he added.
Smt. Divya Parmar, IES, Course Director, Spl Foundation Course for All India Services &Central Civil Services and Dr Ravulapati Madhavi, Addl. Course Director, Extra- & Co-Curricular Activities were also present on the occasion.
