Dr Rajiv Sharma, Chief Advisor to Govt. has planted three saplings under Green India Challenge in the premises of Hyderabad Metro Rail Bhavan here on today.
As Hon’ble Speaker, TS Legislative Assembly, Sri Pocharam Srinivas Reddy has proposed his name, Dr Sharma said “I have accepted the proposal and planted three varieties of saplings at Metro Rail Bhavan today”.
Green India Challenge is a good initiative patronized by the Member of Parliament Sri J. Santhosh Kumar and he said over three crore plants have been raised so far in different parts of the Telangana state.
Green India Challenge creates awareness on environment and helps to raise a systematic plantation in the entire state, he said.
Under this programme, Dr Rajiv Sharma has now proposed the names of three senior officers of Govt of Telangana to take the challenge forward.
Sri Adhar Sinha, Spl. Chief Secretary, GAD,
Sri Arvind Kumar Prl. Secretary, MAUD dept,
Sri Anil Kumar, Member Secretary, Pollution Control Board.
The three officers have accepted the challenge and soon they would take up the activity, he added.
