Telangana Grandmaster Raja Rithvik has become Champion of IX Chessable Sunway Sitges International Blitz Chess Championship in Spain.
Playing as 20th seed, Raja Rithvik has clinched the title on 18.12.2022 by scoring 8.5 points out of 9 rounds in prestigious International Blitz Tournament wherein 120 top players from 30 countries such as USA, Canada, England, Netherlands, Ukraine, Germany, France, Norway and Spain etc have participated. He has won 8 games and drew one game and remained unbeaten in the championship.
Raja Rithvik who is presently studying Engineering in Electronics Department of KL University, Hyderabad, has been undergoing advanced training at RACE Chess Academy under the reputed coach Sri N. Rama Raju.
Telangana State Chess Association President Sri K.S.Prasad has congratulated Raja Rithvik for winning Sunway Sitges International Blitz Chess Championship at Spain and hoped to bring many more laurels to the state as well as country.
