There are reports that the Monsoon has already entered some parts of Telangana. Rains are expected in the next 3 days to come in many parts of Telangana.
A Low-Pressure area is likely to form over the North Bay of Bengal & neighbourhood around 11th June 2021.
Southwesterly winds over the Arabian Sea is also likely to strengthen from 10 June 2021. Under its Influence, Southwest Monsoon is likely to advance into remaining parts of* Maharashtra including Mumbai, *Telangana and Andhra Pradesh by 11 June;
Odisha, West Bengal, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Bihar, East Uttar Pradesh, some parts of Madhya Pradesh, and Gujarat state during 11-13 June 2021.
The GHMC officials are taking precautions in Hyderabad and surrounding areas to see that they will not face the problems like last year. It may be recalled that many people died in Hyderabad due to floods.
The drainage systems are also being cleaned so that the water flows away very easily. People staying near canals and also in the low lying areas were put on alert and some of them were asked to move out of that area.
The residents who are staying in the low lying areas near tankbund were also alerted. People at Indirapark, Bandamisamma, Aravindanagar , Domlaguda, Himayathnagar, Gandhinagar were alerted by the GHMC keeping the last year floods in mind.
