Vizag railway station has been closed till noon and all roads leading to the railway station have been closed. Some trains are being diverted some other trains have been stopped.
Security was also beefed up at Vijayawada, Kurnool, Tirupati and other major railway stations in Andhra Pradesh as a precautionary measure in the wake of violent protests at the Secunderabad railway station Yesterday.
Large-scale violence gutted Secunderabad station as hundreds of youth went on a rampage, setting afire trains, and goods apart from vandalizing the station.
Apart from Hyderabad, Secunderabad and Kachiguda railway stations were beefed up with security today. The Local, Railway and also the CRF are together looking into the security of the railway stations.
One person was killed and four others were injured when the railway police opened fire to control the situation.
After the protest lasted for more than nine hours, police arrested the youth in the evening.
