Rahul Gandhi is not losing any opportunity to attack PM Modi. He is going to ATMs, he is talking to people on Monetisation so on so forth, but nothing is working out for the Congress party. Even in the local elections and the recent elections the results have shown that people are not with Congress. Rahul and Sonia could not muster any support or sympathy for the congress after the 2014 drubbing.
Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Congress Parliamentary Party meeting calling the latter “a prisoner of his own image and interested in doing only TRP politics”.
Mr. Gandhi chaired the CPP in the absence of party chief Sonia Gandhi.
“Congress never gave India a PM who based his entire policy on TRPs,” Mr. Gandhi said.
On demonetisation Mr. Gandhi said, “All cash is not black money and all black money is not cash,” adding that the Prime Minister “confused India’s cash economy with black economy”.
The government has got itself into a “complete mess” with regards to Pakistan and their policy is a “complete failure”, Mr. Gandhi said. On the other hand the chorus for Rahul leadership is building up by the day. Now Sonia is Hospital and this argument is gaining strength by the day. On the other hand they want Priyanka to g take over the campaigning process in UP.
As things stands it is very difficult for the congress in UP also. Nitish on the other hand is supporting Modi on the demonetisation stand. With the opposition divided both in the parliament and also in the electioneering, there is not much for the BJP to bother and the Congress to gain.
