SVBC is one of the best Channels when it comes to religious purposes it has good TRP among the Telugu people and also Tamilians. But it has been in controversy right from its inception. There are allegations that in the name of propagation for the Lord huge sums of money is being wasted by the Channel. It was established when Ramanachary the present advisor of Telangana Government was the Chairman for the TTD.
There were big news items in all the newspapers saying that people were appointed with big remuneration and that Ramana Chary was wasting money.
But now it has become one of popular Channels and there are people who are just glued to Sri Venkateshwara Bhakti Channel. After that one of the close confidants of Chandrababu who was with Eenadu and also TDP Narasimha Rao was made the CEO of the Channel. Then he got it touch with the director Raghavendra Rao and they were producing and airing Bhakti movies left and right with the huge allocation of funds. Several other members objected to this and launched a campaign against Narasimha Rao. Now he is absconding it is reported. The Channel has no CEO at present . it is mired with controversies.
Not Chandrababu who is yet to appoint the new board for the TTD is trying to bring in Raghavendra for the SVBC. Keeravani the music director related to Raghavendra Rao was also doing some devotional song programs for the SVBC. The stage is set for taking Raghavendra Rao for SVBC and it is a matter of time for the Government. Earlier also RR was the advisor for TDP Government and he made some publicity films for the Government.
Baahubali director Rajamouli is also helping the government in the construction of Amaravathi with designs. Rajamoouli is also related to RR. People expected Raghavendra to be the Chairman of the TTD, but now it looks like they have changed the mind of Chandrababu.
