PV is the proof for values

Dr. Mohan Kanda, IAS (Retd.) former Member of National Disaster Management Authority, attended as Chief guest and delivered a lecture on “Ethics in Governance”. Dr.Kanda reminded the need for the rulers and officials to be the servants of the people and to be accountable to the society.

They want to think how much we are able to serve the common people rather than the mirror of power on the one hand, they say that they are competing with other countries in the world in terms of development, but on the other hand, there are many people who are begging in the country. He suggested to the rulers that selling of small children, human abuse, suicides, poverty, dowry harassment, religious strife, robbery and attacks in the country will harm the development of the country.

He also suggested that the rulers and officials should focus on the internal security of the country, personal security, democratic values and transparency in the governance, and quality governance with values will be provided to the people.

Prof K. Seetharama Rao, Vice-Chancellor, BRAOU presided over the program, Prof. Rao explained that the university is conducting regular commemorative lectures with the aim of imparting the life characteristics of Telangana veterans and their services to the society to the future generations.

He recalled that the economic reforms brought by former Prime Minister PV Narsinha Rao during his tenure strengthened the country’s economy. He reminded that governance reforms were brought during his reign.

Prof. E.Sudha Rani, Director Academic I/c, introduced about the chief Guest and explain about the program. Dr.Pallavi Kadbe, In-charge Director (UGC-DEB Affairs) proposed the vote of thanks. Prof. P. Madhusudhana Reddy, Director, CIQA Deans, Prof. Shakeela Khanam, Prof. Vaddanam Srinivas, Dr.L.V.K. Reddy, Directors Learners Support Services, Prof. Gunti Ravi, Director Materials Publications, and all Directors, Deans, Heads of Branches, Teaching and Non-Teaching Staff members and representatives of University Service Associations were participated in the program. Earlier, the guests, Deans, Directors, PV Narasimha Rao family members Shekhar Maram Raju, Y.V. Chandrasekhar Rao and others garlanded the portrait of Sri.P.V.Narasimha Rao and offered rich floral tributes.
