The annual Pushpayagam, the ritual of flowers was observed in a splendid manner at Vontimitta Sri Kodandarama temple on Sunday evening.
About 2.5tonnes of flowers including 11 varieties of various flowers, six varieties of aromatic leaves were offered and a floral bath has been rendered to the deities of Sri Sita Lakshmana sameta Sri Ramachandra Swamy in a colourful manner from 6pm onwards which lasted for more than two hours.
The annual Vasanthotsavams in Sri Venugopala Swamy temple at Karvetinagaram will be observed between April 11-13.
Every day there will be dharmic and devotional cultural programmes by TTD on the occasion at the temple premises. Along with TTD EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy, JEOs s Smt Sada Bhargavi and Sri Veerabrahmam, the CS inspected the ongoing construction works of the Children’s Hospital in Tirupati on Sunday. He also visited the works of Feed Mixing Plant and Second Unit of Agarbattis at SV Gosala.
Speaking on the occasion he said, with the Feed Mixing Plant, the cattle are now being provided with healthy fodder, which will enhance the production of milk from bovines.
He also said, the Second Unit of Agarbattis Manufacturing will also help in meeting the public demand.
The CS lauded the Doctors’ Team led by Director Dr Srinath Reddy, for having successfully performed over 1300 heart surgeries in the Paediatric Hospital besides performing Two Heart Transplantations.
Later, the CS also discussed on Employees’ Housesites, SLSMPC, EHS Trust, Cochlear Implantation in BIRRD etc. from TTD officials.
