Kings XI Punjab with a thrilling win over Kolkotta Knight riders yesternight kept it’s hopes alive for the playoffs. Now there will be pressure on Sunrisers Hyderabad when they play Gujarat Lions in their last league match at Kanpur.
If Punjab wins the next two matches and Hyderabad loses to Gujarat, Punjab will be in.

Yesterday Punjab fought magnificently to overcome KKR. At one stage when Lyn and Narine were batting it seemed the match would be over in fifteen overs. But the Punjab spinners in particular Twevetia bowled a superb spell and KKR lost wickets at regular intervals to come under pressure. After Lyn got out for a brilliant 84 they succumbed meekly.
In today’s match Delhi Daredevils will play Gujrat Lions only to satisfy themselves as they are out of the tournament.
