Chetaswara Pujara scored a superb unbeaten century to rescue India on day three of the third Test at Ranchi. And now with four wickets in hand and 91runs behind the hosts have to bat attest till lunch first to reduce the deficit and for a possible slender lead they may be hoping for.
It can be possible as there is still no greater help for the bowlers. If the batsmen show application like Smith, Maxwell, Vijay and Pujara did big scores can be made on this strip.
India started the day well with overnight batsmen Pujara and Vijay playing some fine strokes. Vijay once again failed to capitalise on the start he got. He really missed a big chance to get a big century.
Kohli recovered fast from the injury to bat at his usual position, but disappointed everyone, getting out cheaply.
Pujara was running out of partners and was not involved in any big partnership later. Rahane and Nair looked good but did not make big scores.
