The Women Safety Wing of the Telangana State Police has entered into a historic partnership with My Choices Foundation (MCF), NGO and International Justice Mission (IJM), NGO to combat Child Trafficking and to prevent human trafficking.
Telangana, India – In a significant move aimed at enhancing the safety and well-being of women and children in the state of Telangana, the Women Safety Wing of the Telangana Police has joined forces with My Choices Foundation (MCF) and International Justice Mission (IJM). Their shared commitment to combat Child trafficking and prevent human trafficking is formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).
The MOU’s with MCF & IJM were signed on October 5, 2023, with the aim of working on the prevention of human trafficking and Child trafficking. Together, the Telangana Police, MCF, and IJM will provide comprehensive legal support, facilitate access to justice, and work towards the prevention of human trafficking.
.International Justice Mission (IJM) brings its expertise to the table for conducting trainings, workshops, and consultations related to Child Labour Trafficking. They will also publish training materials, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and coordinate with other relevant line departments.
• My Choices Foundation (MCF) brings with it both experience and dedication in the fight against human trafficking. It is committed to the proposed Safe Village program, which aims to sensitize at-risk communities
about sex trafficking, prevention strategies, and community empowerment.
This partnership underscores the significance of collaboration between law enforcement and civil society organizations in addressing the pressing issue of women and children’s safety.
