President of India Ramnath Kovind will be coming to Hyderabad this afternoon for his winter stay. He will be staying at the Rashtrapati Nilayam in Bollarum. The President will be in Hyderabad for 4 days and participate in some programs.
He will be going to Karimnagar on 22 to attend a program and he will also organise At Home for the people of Hyderabad. Kovind would return to Delhi on 24th.
It is customary for the President to visit Rashtrapati Nilayam and stay there at least once a year and conduct official business from the Nilayam.
Located at Bolarum, Rashtrapati Nilayam building was taken over from the Nizam of Hyderabad after India attained independence and handed over to the President’s Secretariat.
Constructed during 1860, the building has a total land area of 90 acres. A single storied building, it contains in its premises 11 rooms.
Tamil Isai the Governor of Telangana visited the Rashtrapati Nilayam, Bolarum along with senior officials today. The Governor has seen the arrangements made on the occasion of Hon’ble President of India’s ensuing southern sojourn.
