Prasadam kills 11 in Karnataka

11 people were killed when the pilgrims ate a prasadam of Tomato rice which was contaminated with pesticide. 2 children and some crows were among the dead. More than people were hospitalised in the nearby hospitals due to the poisoning of rice Prasadam. Some crows which are at the prasadam also died.

Two persons were already arrested in this regard. CM Gowda announced an exgratia of Rs 5 lakh to the families of the persons who died due to prasadam poisoning. Doctors said that the toxic material which killed the people could be poison. The investigation is going as to how the pesticide was mixed in the Prasadam.
