While the people in general are opposing the HYDRAA and demolitions, the Revanth Government has given more powers to it. The house owners near the water bodies and also the outskirts are worried about the
future.
Some people who lost the houses under HYDRAA are still forced to pay the EMI .
Anybody make a complaint to HYDRAA. We do not know how far the complaint is genuine. But the officials will make a visit for the enquiry. Various things like traffic snarls are being referred to the HYDRAA.
But so far HYDRAA had no guts to demolish the school of Owaisi’s which is inside the lake and the lake surrounds the building. Recruitment is still going for HYDRAA.
The GHMC Act was amended to give more powers to HYDRAA. This amendment facilitates the state government to empower any officer or agency or authority like HYDRAA to exercise any of the powers of the GHMC and the GHMC commissioner to protect public assets like roads, drains, public streets, water bodies, open spaces, public parks etc and preserve them from any kind of illegal encroachments.
However, opposition BRS, BJP and AIMIM MLAs raised concerns over demolitions done by HYDRAA. They said HYDRAA has created a sense of panic among people with its hasty demolitions.
Few MLAs said there was no need for setting up HYDRAA and urged the government to rethink giving more powers to HYDRAA by amending the GHMC Act.
