Disclosing the above details, after hoisting the national flag on the occasion of 71st Republic Day, Sri D. Prabhakar Rao, CMD/TSGENCO & TSTRANSCO at Vidyut Soudha, said that in a major development, TSGENCO has introduced the concept of Reversible Pumping Facility at Nagarjuna Sagar and Srisailam Hydel stations.
The flexibility of Reverse Pumping System at these Hydel stations is very much beneficial for Grid Management and has also resulted in the substantial quantum of power of 518 MU from Srisailam Project and 162 MU from Nagarjuna Sagar Project during the period of last 3 years thereby minimizing the costly purchases during the peak hours.
