A hundred MGW power would be produced from the Garbage being generated in Hyderabad said K Taraka Rama Rao the Minister for IT. 500 electric buses will run in Hyderabad to reduce the pollution he said. Even sanitary vehicles will run on power in future and in a phased manner most of them will be electric vehicles he stated.
KTR was speaking at the World Environment day today here in Hyderabad. Even Warangal and Karimnagar will have these electric vehicles he announced. We will manufacture the electric vehicles here and for that, a policy would be announced he said.
About 40 lakes would be developed around the outskirts of Hyderabad and every drop of water would be harnessed he stated. The people must participate in a big way he suggested. Metro coverage will be extended from 30 Km to other parts and the second phase will be started soon along with the expansion of MMTS he said.
All the streetlights will be LEDs KTR said. All out efforts would be done to make the Hyderabad environment clean and green he explained.
The foreign dignitaries who participated in the even along with KTR, complimented KCR for the development being taken up in Hyderabad.
