The political situation in Telangana is hotting up by the day. The mercury is soaring high but the politicians of all parties are bracing up the hot temperature and venture out for the campaigning .
The BJP leaders are waiting for the party Amit Shah to accord him a grand welcome here in Nalgonda. More than 100 two wheelers painted to for the party with UP registration are transported to the party office in Hyderabad for the future campaigning in the rural areas.
The congress party leaders are also equally geared up for the elections. Informally leaders like Uttam Kumar reddy, Komatireddy brothers, Danam Nagedar are saying that they are ready to spend about Rs 500 crore each for the development of the party for the next elections. DK Aruna is also one of the leaders who is aspiring to lead the elections in 2019 in TS.
On the other hand the Telugu Desam national president N. Chandrababu Naidu turned down a plea from the party’s TS unit to adopt a political resolution in the upcoming Mahanadu favouring a united Opposition front to take on the TRS in the 2019 Assembly and Lok Sabha elections.
TS TD president L. Ramana, working president A. Revanth Reddy and politburo member Ravula Chandrasekhar Reddy met Babu in Amaravati during the day and discussed the political line the party should take in the Mahanadu on May 24. They also raised the possibility of the TS BJP unilaterally snapping ties with the TD.
Revanth suggested to Babu that it would be better for the TS TD to take the initiative to build a political alternative to the TRS in the state by building bridges with other like-minded parties.
Overall the situation is very fluid and there are rumors of Revanth and Nagendar shifting from the TDP and Congress respectively. There is a buzz that the cream of leaders from other parties would be joining the BJP. Neither the BJP nor the leaders names in circulation have confirmed this. There are people who believe that like UP the BJP will come to power in the Telangana.
But all said and done the TRS Supremo KCRs charisma is growing by the day and for the time being he is the monarch in Telangana.
