Commissioner Of Police Cyberabad, Shri VC Sajjanar, IPS has urged the people to comply with the GO wide memo 2133/D/2020, which was issued on 9th April 2020, making the use of masks compulsory for everyone.
This step by the Telanagana government has been taken, after health experts in the state discovered that people who did not show any symptoms of COVID 19 Infection were also prone to be getting infected and were the potential carriers of the deadly virus.
Masks should essentially cover the nose and mouth of the user, so that the droplets which are released from mouth while talking or sneezing don’t spread the Infection.
The masks should be made of cotton, and the users should make sure that, while using the mask, they should not hang it around the neck. And also should not reverse it and wear it, as it increases the chances of contamination.
However, it is always suggested that, reusable cloth masks should be first preference of the people. In case if it is not available, one should go for disposable masks, and it should not be reused.
Safe Use Of Masks:
1. While removing the mask, one should never touch the front part of the mask by hands.
2. It should be removed only with the strings
3. After removing the mask, clean your hands with 70 percent alcohol sanitizer or with soap for 40 seconds.
4. Used masks should be cleaned with boiling water to which a pinch of salt is added.
5. It’s also suggested that, masks should be cleaned using dettol/soap/Savlon. After it is cleaned, the masks should be kept in the sunlight for 5 hours. However, before putting in the sunlight one should ensure it is cleaned for 15 minutes in solutions. After it is cleaned it should be preserved in clean and dry place.
