One police constable in Telangana shot his family members and killed himself. The 35-year-old security guard employed by Siddipet District Collector shot and killed his 30-year-old wife, Chaitanya, along with their 6-year-old son, Revanth, and 5-year-old daughter, Himashri, before turning the gun on himself.
The incident occurred in Ramunipatta village of Chinnakodur mandal on Friday. The assailant, identified as police constable Akula Naresh, had not reported for duty that day and chose to stay at home.
People rushed to the scene upon hearing gunshots and found that all four individuals dead. Authorities were alerted, and the police have initiated an investigation, registering a case .
The initial reports suggest financial problems may have triggered the incident, the police are probing all angles, including Naresh’s alleged involvement in online betting.
