Some leaders of Bhgyangar Ganesh Utsav Samithi -BGUS were arrested by the police this morning near the Telugu Talli statue. As the Assembly sessions are to begin today, the police did not permit the Byke rally.
The Bhagyanagar Ganesh Utsav Samithi on the other hand has announced that the Ganesh Nimajjan process will be done on ninth and there is no change in dates.
It is on Friday and Anantha Chaturdasi. There is talk that the state Government is not allowing the Nimajjan on ninth. But some Ganeshas have already been immersed in the Tankbund.
The bike rally around tank bund by the Ganesh Utsav Samithi was announced to protest against the attitude of the State Government. There is talk that no proper arrangements have been done by the Government.
Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav said that the Government is taking care of things and that they know how to get the immersion process done.
The police have made all the bundobust arrangements by drawing forces from various sources. We have to see how far the government will allow the bike rally to take place on Tuesday.
This yes and no from the Government on BGS has been happening for several years and no one could stop the Ganesh Shoba yatra or immersion in the Tank bund waters.
Artificial water tanks have been created in many areas for idol immersion here in Hyderabad. Immersion is allowed in Sarronagar lake also. But the majority of the people prefer coming to Tankbund in a procession during the Shobha yatra.
