The Convoy of PM Modi on the way to a public meeting in Punjab was stopped by the protestors from the farming community in Punjab.
He was forced to return back to the Airport. Modi thanked God for being alive and returning back to the Airport.
“Around 30 km away from National Martyrs Memorial in Hussainiwala, when the Prime Minister’s convoy reached a flyover, it was found that the road was blocked by some protestors.
The PM was stuck on a flyover for 15-20 minutes. This was a major lapse in the security of PM,” the home ministry noted. The Punjab Government spokesperson said that the PM wantonly returned back as there were no crowds for the rally.
It was raining and the roads were filled with Fog. Modi avoided the ariel route and used the roads. The BJP sources are blaming the Congress party for this security lapse.
In legal terms, only Punjab police were knowing the Modis road route. There is talk that the Punjab CM did not take the calls from the PMs security.
The route was not unplanned as a route check was done yesterday. A rehearsal was also done. Protestors blocked the road with twenty tractors.
