RTC JAC leader Aswathama Reddy today urged the Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao to resolve the issue of the RTC strike at the earliest. Responding to the deadline given by the Chief Minister last night, Reddy said that the CM should look at the employees and the family condition and call for the talks he suggested.
Addressing the media, Reddy said that the strike was legal and that the Government should not further complicate the issue.
If 5100 routes are given to private what about others he questioned. Otherwise, the strike will continue he said. The 3-day ultimatum was not right he opined. The plight of the employees should be considered he suggested.
The strike, on the other hand, is continuing at various bus depots. It looked as if the Unions have taken a back step by requesting the Chief Minister to resolve the issue.
BJP President Dr Laxman has assured the Union that he would represent the matter with the central Government. The JAC members met Laxman at his house in Ashoknagar.
The Congress has suggested the JAC not to budget to the ultimatum of the Government. The communists are also supporting the cause of the employees and suggested to continue the strike. On the other hand, the CM KCR has suggested the employees come out of the trap of the Unions.
