From 11nth onwards the proposed Mhasamporkhshana or cleaning on the TTD for Lord Venkateshwara will commence. The board members of the TTD has suggested that there will be limited darshan and there will be no special tokens, no Rs 300 tokens, no VIP darshans, No Arjitha sevas, etc.
So it is better than the pilgrims who want to go to TTD must check the details in a detailed manner and then plan accordingly. This will be from 11 to 16nth. The ritual is done for every 12 years to sanitise and cleanse the Temple premises.
The EO of the Temple Singhal has requested the Pilgrims to co-operate with the Temple authorities for this program which will be there for 5 days.
Earlier the EO announced that the TTD would be closed for 9 days. But the Pilgrims made a hue and cry and with the intervention of the Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu it has been reduced for 5 days and the Temple would not be closed. Limited darshan is being allowed on all the days so that there would no closure of the darshan.
