Plant a Sapling before seeking my appointment – BR Ambedkar
The vision of Dr. Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar ji, the cheif architect of our constitution, with regard to not only equality among humans, but care and concern towards mother nature was amazing, as when he was First Union Law & Justice Minister he wanted his visitors to see him only after planting a sapling.
As we are treating our constitution, a guiding force, we at #GreenIndiaChallenge would like all the people to get inspired by his call of planting saplings. On the proud occasion of his birthday and the unveiling of his 125 feet statue on the banks of Hussainsagar, Hyderabad #GIC urges you all to plant a sapling.
“Green India Challenge” is a program that will be historical.Going green is not just a ‘living room’ conversation for J Santosh Kumar, a Rajya Sabha MP from the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS). He has founded the “Green India Challenge” to encourage tree planting and see that the global warming is reduced.
The idea of “Giving back to Environment” concept of to save the environment for future generations, he said, adding that “Urban forestry is an integrated concept, defined as the art, science, and technology of managing trees and forest resources in and around community ecosystems for the psychological, sociological, aesthetic economic, and environmental benefits trees provide society.”
“It is a passion but the Urban Eco Forests may generate some revenue as people tend to visit them. The revenue can be obtained by produce such as fruits and flowers. But, urban forestry development is not done for revenue. It’s just a social and environment commitment,” he is quick to clarify.
