As a result of sustained efforts in enforcement and education on the importance of usage of helmet by both the riders of two wheeler vehicles since last few months by Cyberabad Traffic Police, many two wheeler riders have started wearing helmets while riding pillion also.
This is an encouraging trend in law abiding nature of citizens and also helps in improving public safety on roads.
CP, Cyberabad Sri VC Sajjanar, while appreciating the response of citizens in this regard, also emphasised the need for total compliance that would help reduce fatalities in road crashes.
Particularly, the vulnerable category of road users viz., children, women, senior citizens who are the usual pillion riders on two wheelers need to wear the standard helmets and strap them while on two wheeler ride.
