There are not more than 3000 pilgrims on an average on a daily basis to the famous Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanam(TTD). Corona effect and the Lockdown is the reason for pilgrims not coming to Lord Balaji’s darshan.

Several employees and one of the chief Priests of the TTD has died due to Corona and no proper Covid regulations are observed on the Hill Shrine.

In the last two weeks around 60000 pilgrims were registered for Srivari Darshan. The laddu sales also have come down. The daily income also has come down drastically.

The systems are not in place ever since the YSRC Government came into power. More commercial systems were being implemented and a casual approach rather than the traditional systems were being followed by the TTD board.

The reinstatement of Ramana Deekshituu has brewed discontentment among the priests. The movement of pilgrims in large number is causing Corona on the Hillshrine and priests are also getting Corona in the process.

Some priests have died and some have recovered from Corona. The Hundi collections were about 5 crores in the last two weeks time. However, the rituals for the Lord are going on according to the Agama Traditions.

But the repair works and construction works are going on at the TTD in a big way.
