Ever since the YSRC Government took over teh TTD, nothing was in order on the 7 hills. As usual, money was calling the shots. Taking the tickets 3 months ahead and planning for the Lord’s darshan is difficult.

There has been no proper accommodation for the pilgrims. The hotels are selling food at a higher rate. The Laddu is not tasty and sold at a higher rate. Despite all this the people have been praising the Board members.

The monthly Dial your EO programme witnessed the callers pouring in appreciation for several pilgrim initiatives taken up by TTD as well the dharmic and SVBC programmes.

A total of 28 callers including a caller in Muscat have given feedback to the TTD EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy in this one hour live phone-in programme. Callers Sri Sudhakar from Guntakal, Smt Munilakshmi and Sri Mithilesh from Nellore, Sri Dhananjayan from Chennai appreciated the TTD Board, EO and his team for the reforms taken up in recent times for the benefit of devotees.

However, Sri Tarun Kumar from Coimbatore, Smt Krishna Kumari from Hyderabad brought to the notice of EO the poor facilities at Panchajanyam and Sapthagiri rest houses respectively.

Reacting to these callers, the EO said the Sapthagiri is over four to five decades old and repairs are not possible. So in the recent board meeting, it was decided to construct a new one in its place and the issue will be resolved in a few months”, he maintained.

When Sri Venkatesh from Hyderabad sought EO that the buses from Tirupati to Tirmala and vice-versa be operated by TTD at nominal rates, to which EO answered it is not possible for TTD for the maintenance and manpower.

Another caller Sri Venkateswara Rao from Hyderabad asked EO to consider increasing the upper age limit in Srivari Seva to 65years from 60 to which the EO answered him as Srivari Seva involves offering services to fellow devotees, the upper age limit cannot be revised.
