As the lockdown will come into effect from Wednesday at 10 pm, people have gathered in front of liquor stores and violation of social distancing can be seen.
The people have rushed to the liquor shops that there would be no chance of opening the shops by 10 AM during the lockdown relaxation.
Some of them purchased cartons of liquor which would be sufficient for the next 10 days to come. There is a chance that the lockdown could be increased for another week till the month-end.
Even ladies were seen in lines for purchasing the liquor bottles. There were people talking to news channels stating that quarter bottle is the best medicine to protect people from Corona.
Despite the announcement stating that essential services will remain open, people were also seen outside retail stores to stock food and other essentials. People also queued in front of Kendriya Bandar as they were afraid they may not get essential products later on.
To be sure, the Telangana government has imposed a 10-day lockdown in the state to curb the transmission of Coronavirus and to make sure that the hospitals in the city are managed and have sufficient beds, oxygen for the treatment of people.
