Somesh Kumar,IAS., Chief Secretary to Govt. of Telangana informed that Govt. of India, Ministry of Home Affairs have issued order for the movement of persons stranded due to Lockdown. Chief Secretary held a review meeting with officials at BRKR Bhavan.
The matter has been examined by Govt. of Telangana and it has been decided to nominate Sri Sandeep Kumar Sultania,IAS., as Nodal Authority for the purpose. He will be assisted by a team of officers . A protocol has been developed for the movement of stranded persons.
Chief Secretary informed that a letter has been addressed to Chief Secretaries of all States to provide details of persons from their states who are stranded in Telangana. Chief Secretaries of other states have also been requested to make transport arrangements to pick up the people from their states who are stranded in Telangana.
He requested the Chief Secretaries to advise their nodal authorities to get in touch with Telangana nodal authority for facilitation. He further informed that our nodal authority will arrange for screening of the persons and passes to the asymptomatic persons for undertaking the journey.
Any stranded person who wish to move to their native state are requested to be in touch with their native state for transport arrangement. Government of Telangana will permit stranded persons to move to their native state.
