PD ACT INVOKED AGAINST THREE MOBILE SNATCHERS ARRESTED

As part of an ongoing drive against repeated offenders who disturb public order, the Commissioner of Police, Cyberabad has invoked PD Act against three mobile snatchers Viz. Lattipally Rajesh (A-1), Kethavath Babu Naik (A-2) and Kaluri Sai Kumar @ Sanju (A-3) and detained them in Central Prison, Cherlapally, Medchal district.

The detenu Lattipally Rajesh (A-1) is the leader of the gang. All the detenues are locality friends and addicted to bad vices. As their income earned is inadequate to meet their vices, they have decided to earn easy money by committing property offences.

Accordingly, they hatched a plan to commit theft of mobile phones from the lonely pedestrians moving on roads at isolated places and sell them.

They used to move in Madhapur and other areas under Cyberabad Police Commissionerate on Activa vehicle. Babu Naik (A-2) used to drive vehicle with Lattipally Rajesh (A-1) and K. Sai Kumar (A-3) as pillion riders and observe the surroundings and snatch the cell phones from the hands of pedestrians and flee away.

With a view to prevent them from indulging in the criminal activities of robberies repeatedly, which would be prejudicial to the maintenance of public order, Sri V.C. Sajjanar, I.P.S., Commissioner of Police, Cyberabad has invoked PD Act against them and lodged in Central Prison, Cherlapalli.
