As promised the Chief Minister of Telangana K Chandrasekhar Rao has released the amount for salaries to be paid to the strike period for the RTC workers here in Telangana.
It may be noted that the state Government of Telangana actually wanted to close the loss-making TSRTC. But KCR was kind enough to roll back the decision and also was very king to promise them the payment for the Strike period also.
He called the RTC employees for talks to the Pragathi Bhavan and settled the issue by giving them lunch. This budget also allocated around Rs 1000 crore for the development of RTC.
An amount of Rs 235 crore was released for the payment to the employees for the Strike period. No one expected the Government to pay the salary for the Strike for more than 2 months.
The decision of KCR was hailed by the entire workers and leaders of the unions. It has been decided that there will be no unison in the RTC and the employees must work together for making profits in the organisation at the earliest possible.
