Fountainhead Global School and Junior College in collaboration with Ozone Run climate action ambassadors celebrates Environment Day with a range of activities Hyderabad – Fountainhead Global School and Junior College, located at Hydernagar, Hyderabad, hosted a grand celebration of World Environment Day. The event aimed to raise awareness about waste segregation and the importance of environmental preservation. Students and staff came together to participate in various activities, including an awareness rally and a plantation drive. On this auspicious occasion the unveiling of a unique publication, Ozone Run Green Steps book authored by Bilvoa Vunnam and Teerdha Vunnam, by Honourable M.P., Shri J. Santhosh Kumar The highlight of the day was the awareness rally, where students took to the streets, carrying placards and banners promoting waste segregation. The enthusiastic participants marched through the school’s neighbourhood, spreading the message of responsible waste management. Their engaging slogans and messages emphasised the significance of individual actions in preserving our environment.
In addition to the rally, Fountainhead Global School and Junior College organised a plantation drive within the campus. Students actively participated in planting saplings to enhance the green cover and contribute to the school’s sustainable ecosystem. The activity aimed to instil a sense of responsibility and love for nature among the younger generation.
To further promote sustainable living practices, the school released a Green Steps book. This publication offers valuable insights into various eco-friendly steps that can be incorporated into daily routines. It covers topics such as Yoga, vertical gardening, neighbourhood cleanup, Green India Challenge, Organic Festivals and Ozone Run. The Green Steps book serves as a comprehensive guide, encouraging readers to adopt a greener lifestyle and make positive contributions to the planet.
Fountainhead Global School and Junior College is dedicated to fostering environmental consciousness among its students, and the celebration of World Environment Day serves as a testament to its commitment. The school is actively preparing for the upcoming Ozone Run, scheduled for September 17th, 2023. The run aims to raise awareness about the depletion of the ozone layer and its impact on the environment.
