Overhyping is bad for movies

Hype is ok but overdoing it will spoil the chances of the movies in the theatres. If the audience goes to the theatres with over expectations, it will have adverse effects.

It happened with Bhola Shankar and now it is with Eagle. Eagle could not live up to the expectations of the audience this Friday. Sometimes overhyping the film as a big slick action flick and never-before-seen adventure could go against the film.

‘Filmmakers should avoid overhyping their movies and raising huge expectations because if it fails to live up to it, it will have an adverse impact,”. Publicity of the film is an art and Rajamouli is a master at it. He knows how to market the movies. He worked for marketing the movie called Brahmasatra and he got paid for it.

Selling the movie is an art in itself. Making a good movie is different and then running it in the theatres by releasing it at the right time is a different ball game altogether.

Timing also makes all the difference. But mouth talk makes the movie a real hit. Some movies if they have good content people will talk about them and they become a hit at the box office.

At the same time some heroes who have crossed their sixties must take rest and opt for the father roles.
