Rajasekhar the OSD of the ministry of external affairs called on Vinod kumar, Vice Chairman, TS Planning Board and Somesh kumar, Chief Secretary. The meeting was held at the state Secretariat.
A meeting was arranged at the initiative of the the Vice Chairman B. Vinod kumar, Telangana state Planning Board at BRKR bhavan Secretariat. Chief Secretary Somesh kumar and several senior officers Rizvi, Aravinder singh, and other officers were present.
The meeting took note of the opportunity presented by the States Division in Ministry of External Affairs, GOI, headed by OSD Rajasekhar, a son of the soil hailing from Nalgonda.
States Division, created at the behest of PM is specifically mandated to help the states and Union Territories to be integral partners in Team India’s international engagement.
Diaspora helpline : To strengthen the Helpdesk in TS Govt. to help citizens of TS around the world in real time. This covers servicing our people, inter alia, wrongfully confined and extending legal assistance, including through ICWF Indian Community Welfare Fund. Action points include developing an SOP and database working through our missions abroad and the Overseas Indians Department of MEA etc.
• Best practices : Gujarat, Maharashtra and TN are at the forefront of international engagement. Action point is to emulate their best practices.
• Celebrating PV Narasimha Rao:Suitably drafting our missions abroad in identified cities to qualitatively scale up the celebrations.
• Celebration of TS formation day on June 2nd in identified key international destinations, availing the state facilitation funds of the States Division.
• Establish Elibrary to project Telangana’s glorious heritage.
• Education Hub: Take the initiative to make Hyderabad an Education hub, attracting reputed foreign universities, in consonance with the evolving policy of Gol.
B. Vinod kumar told that government of Telangana very much concern about nri’s specifically the gulf migrants.
