The President of the Jharkhand Mukthi Morcha Hemanth Soren will take oath as the 11nth Chief Minister. The JMM, Congress and RJD alliance have got the mandate of the people.
The BJP could not get the required numbers. Soren will take over as the Chief Minister here at a grand gala function in Ranchi. Soren will take over as the CM for the second time and it will be a show of the Unity for the Opposition.
The Governor Draupadi Murmu will administer the oath to Soren at 2pm here in Ranchi. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, his sister Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, former President Pranab Mukherjee, former Finance Minister P Chidambaram, NCP chief Sharad Pawar, RJD’s Tejashwi Yadav, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav will be attending the event, according to an official statement.
Among others who are attending the event are chief ministers of five states – West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray.
Soren has appealed to the people to attend the swearing ceremony in large numbers.
