Senior Journalist Shekhar Gupta said that one nation one poll the thinking of the BJP Government is good. But Modi should have stopped the elections to the Assemblies and should have clubbed them together with the parliament polls he opined. Shekar Gupta was talking here on the occasion of Hyderabad press club foundation day at Somajiguda here in Hyderabad.Shekar said that the one Nation one poll is good in many ways and it has to be seen if the NDA Government can do it as being thought of.
On the other hand, Shekar opined that the Congress party does not have a right think tank to strategize for the future. It is very difficult for the Congress to get revived Shekar said. He gave the example of Advani and Vajpayee the senior leaders of the BJP who took the issue of Ram Temple and have to build the party from 2 eats to 303. That kind of grit and clarity is lacking with the Congress party he said.
The leader is hard working but the implementation part is lacking in the Congress party Shekar opined.He advised the journalists to stick to the job and take care of the health. He also advised the scribes not to spend more money in the press club in the evenings. Shekar also opined that online journalism was like a boon to the Journalists and that they are able to hold their readers. Shekar later gave away the prizes to the best photographers who have won the prizes in the photo competition held by the Press Club.
