In the name of bringing in fresh water and new blood to the Congress party, Rahul Gandhi has resigned yesterday and posted it on the twitter. But he has done a mistake again, by nominating Motilal Vora the 90-year-old man for the interim leadership in the Congress party. Vora has been an old guard for the party, but who will take him seriously at this juncture is the point.
Yesterday Vora while talking to the media said that he was not aware of his appointment. It looks like Rahul Gandhi the outgoing chief did not bother to inform the old man Vora in advance about his appointment. The way Rahul described that he was left to fight the election all alone shows that the leaders around the Gandhi family are not them. This shows that all is not well with the party.
So many names are being talked about the party chief post. But the reality is that many of them across the country are jumping the ship. They have no other option but to join the BJP.
It might take another 10 years for the Congress party to come back to form and by that time Rahul will be 60 years old. The BJP dubbed this as a new drama from the Gandhi family. There is every need for the leaders to build the party from the grassroots. There is a talk that Sharad Pawar would merge with the Congress and take over the leadership.
