It has been decided that the water issues will be discussed threadbare by the Chief Secretaries of both the Telugu states in Tirupathi. After resolving them they will be reporting to the Chief Ministers of the respective states. It may be noted that the talks between the chief Ministers KCR and Jagan held at Pragathi Bhavan were very successful and they have taken them further for finalisation. The second round will be held by the officials under the supervision of the chief secretaries in Tirupathi and later they would report the same to the Chief Ministers.
Chief Minister Jaganmohan Reddy and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao are of the opinion that they must resolve the issues first and quench the thirst of the barren lands in the Telugu states. We are one is the slogan and welfare of the people is top on the agenda. This will set the standards and will remain as a benchmark for the other states.
The talks are going on a policy of give and take and they are positive in nature it is reported. The idea is to stop the waters from going into the sea and divert them into the states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh for the sake of drinking and irrigation purpose. Jagan complimented KCR the way the talks have been taken forward in Hyderabad at Pragathi Bhavan. As a part of goodwill gesture now Jagan wants to reciprocate in Andhra Pradesh.
