Sidharth Malhotra is all set to be a part of the third part in the Aashiqui franchise. While, this far it had been only hearsay, Sid has confirmed that the movie has been offered to him.
Director Mohit Suri, reeling from the debacle of Hamari Adhuri Kahani, is said to be penning a contemporary love story. However, the mainstay, like the first two parts, will be the music.
As far as the casting goes, Sidharth and Alia Bhatt are already on board for the project, which is likely to take off sometime in the middle of 2017. A source close to the development, says, “Aashiqui 3 will be a tragic love story, just like Aashiqui 2. The music, again, will play an important part in the film.
The protagonist in both the first and second Aashiqui parts was a singer. So Alia, who likes to sing, may just play a singer in the third part. Sidharth, we are told, will be featured in an intensely romantic and passionate avatar.” All eyes on the Aashiqui team.
