People are looking at the special session of the parliament. The people are expecting the announcement of the snap poll.
While there had been speculation that the government could introduce “One Nation, One Election Bill” and “Women Reservations Bill” during the special session, there was no mention of this in the tentative list of business issued by the Parliament .
There had also been speculation that the government could pass a bill to rename India as Bharat.
“Ahead of the Parliament session, the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs has called a meeting with the floor leaders of the political parties on Sunday in the Parliament. The session of the Parliament is to be held from September 18 to September 22,” according to the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs.
Parliamentary Affairs Minister Prahlad Joshi said the invitations were sent through email to all leaders of the Opposition parties to attend the meeting.
The BJP election committee met last night to discuss the future course of action under the leadership of PM Modi.
