Russian President Vladimir Putin, known for projecting an overtly masculine image as well as spouting sexist remarks, has done it again.
The Russian President made another such comment, which has sparked strong reactions on social media. “I am not a woman, so I don’t have bad days,” he said, according to Bloomberg. “I am not trying to insult anyone. That’s just the nature of things. There are certain natural cycles.”
The footage of the interview was provided to Bloomberg by Stone, who is making a four-part documentary “The Putin Chronicles”. Earlier he had received flak for comparing Hillary to Hitler and for associating women with ‘weakness’. As expected, this time too his remark has not gone down well with many.
“That Putin already has gotten to the point where he needs to lie so obliviously means he must be having a lot of bad days lately,” said one Twitter user. Another user said, “On his good days, he plans crimes against humanity. On behalf of all women, joke’s on you, men. Glad this prick is all yours to claim.”
Others on Twitter compared the Russian president to his American counterpart, Donald Trump, also known for his misogynistic jibes.
