The state secretariat building located on the banks of Tankbund will be closed from Monday. The demolition could start after Dasara it is learnt. Tenders are being invited for the demolition of the Secretariat buildings.
Most of the departments are located in Burgula Ramakrishna Rao Bhavan besides the GHMC office. The Ministers are being located in Hyderabad in many buildings. Minister for Home Mahmood Ali will be in DGP office. Harish Rao the Finance Minister will be located in Aranya Bhavan. Some other Ministers are located in Ravindra Bharathi, Masab Tank and other places.
The CMO has been located in Metro Bhavan. The PR outfit is already in Pragathi Bhavan under the direction of Chief Minister. Some more locations are being finalised for the Ministers.
The media might find it difficult to run around all these buildings to cover the minsters. Secretariat was the Adda for all the Ministers for decades. But now the ministers are scattered and the Media will have to run from pillar to post to cover all of them.
It will take another two years for the new buildings to be completed. Right now KCR the chief Minister is verifying the designs for the secretariat buildings with ultra-modern facilities.
