After Note ban there is talk that people have easily hoarded a lot money in the form of Rs 2000 notes. The Government has stopped the printing of Rs 2000 notes it is learnt.
The idea is to flush out all the Rs 2000 notes that have been kept in the safes illegally by the people. In future, the ATMs will not give any Rs 2000 notes.
The RBI has ordered that the SBI must remove all the cassettes which deliver Rs 2000 notes. So there will be no 2000 notes from the ATMs. Even the Rs 500 delivery might be stopped from the ATMs.
There is a chance that small denomination notes only could be delivered from the ATMs in the near future. The free transactions of the ATMs will also be increased in the near future.
There is no proper announcement of the Rs 2000 front. But it is creating confusion in the market. The Government thinks that the poor and the common man will not be affected by the ban of Rs 2000 notes.
Most of them are using Rs 200 and Rs 500 apart from the Rs 100 notes on a regular basis.
