The BJP has received a severe jolt as the Kolkata division bench of the court has ruled out Ratha yatras in West Bengal. The BJP under the leadership of Amit Shah wanted to do Ratha Yatras in West Bengal taking the elections into serious account. But Mamata the CM was dead against the Ratha Yatras and opposed them.

A court comprising of single bench agreed for the Ratha yatras of the BJP. The State Government went to a different court with a division bench and opposed the Ratha Yatras. The court ruled out the possibility of conducting the Ratha Yatras and wanted the BJP to go for public meetings.

The court has ordered the BJP leadership to chalk out a new program with meetings and then get it cleared. Here Mamta has won the game by stalling the Ratha Yatras and confining the BJP to public meetings only.

The BJP has to change the program and submit the same to court for getting the required clearance.

Mamata Government earlier has refused to permit the BJP for the said Ratha Yatras. The BJP went to the court and got the permission. But later the Permission was refused by the division bench.

Amit Shah the BJP chief wanted to start these Ratha Yatras in the name of protecting democracy. The Kolkatta High court gave the permission, but the division bench said no to the Ratha Yatras. Now we have to see what will the BJP leadership do.
