Megastar Amitabh Bachchan said, ‘This Independence Day, citizens of the country should pledge India be freed from rape.’ If the Big B gives a call then there is no doubt that people will follow.
The 73-year-old ‘Wazir’ star shared his views on Twitter and posted a still from his upcoming thriller ‘Pink’, which is about three women, who possibly have gotten sexually assaulted.
“Independence Day 15th August pledge… May India be Independent from rape… Bharat aazad ho rape se…,” the widely admired star wrote.A woman’s body is not a democracy, it’s a dictatorship, and it’s about time the dictator took charge,” read the message.
He later credited Radhika Vaz of being the author of the message and blamed a character limit on tweets as being the reason behind him being uable to tag her in the original tweet.
